Every month we highlight a few of our favorite and most noteworthy events from the past month.
Chicago Ducky Derby
The Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby is a yearly fundraising event that benefits the Special Olympics. If you’ve never seen one of these before, they’re quite fun to watch! It starts with duck adoption. People pay to adopt a rubber duck and their name is marked on the duck. When event day comes a dumptruck dumps thousands of rubber ducks into the Chicago River. The ducks are herded towards the finish line and the first few ducks to cross the finish line are the winners! Aside from the ducks being dumped into the river, there’s a little event that goes on in front of The Wrigley Building on Michigan Ave. Inflatable ducks make it hard to miss, but adding some balloons makes it extra fun!
National Sales Conference
This Space themed sales conference breaks the stereotype of corporate conferences being boring. Not only did they have stunning visuals being displayed on the wall behind the stage, but they had balloons! And a lot of them. The majority of their balloon decorations consisted of silver mylar balloons and a handful of light up 3′ white balloons. Columns with light up toppers and starbursts were placed throughout the event space along with a few single light up balloons on weights. But, you can’t get to space without a rocket!
Strawberry Shortcake Baptism
Kiriaki’s baptism celebration was a sea of pink flowers that perfectly matched her Strawberry Shortcake theme. Northern Greenhouses did a wonderful job with the floral decor and even helped us out by adding secret rig point into the centerpieces for us to attach our balloon flowers to!
