Tommy and Scott’s Wedding
Love is Love
Last week Tommy and Scott celebrated life and their love for each other in front of family and friends on their wedding day. The decor was beyond words and the majority of it was, of course, balloons! A portion of their guest list included “balloon friends” (a group of friends who are also in the balloon business) and they were eager to help bring Tommy and Scott’s vision of the perfect wedding to life.
White Wedding
The dominant color throughout their decor was white with small touches of a light lime green. Strategically placed white and silver balloons in the banquet hall fountain greeted guests as they entered the building. Silver mylar letter balloons spelling “LOVE” were placed in front of a white balloon wall just outside the ballroom. In the back of the ballroom was another balloon sculpture spelling out “LOVE”. The sculpture had a creative twist though, the “O” was made with a heart sitting sideways. The amount of balloons in the main ballroom and the resulting look was breathtaking.
The ballroom ceiling was covered in dozens of 3′ white balloons, some even with lights inside. Also hidden inside a couple of those balloons were a few heart shaped balloons along white and green confetti. Throughout the night the filled balloons were popped, the kids especially enjoyed that. The seating assignments were laid out on a table that circled a large balloon tree sculpture. It wasn’t just any tree either. It was a special curly limbed creation that won’t soon be forgotten. Another large installation was the balloon wall that towered behind the stage. The wall, made entirely of white balloons, was a great example of a way to use balloons as an elegant and statement making decor fixture. Since all of the balloons were white, when the lighting changed colors the balloons did too!
