A Look Back: November 2016
Our favorite decor from November 2016
Every month we highlight a few of our favorite and most noteworthy events from the past month.
World Hockey Invitational
The decor for 200×85’s World Hockey Invitational at Seven Bridges Ice Arena
is a great example of what kind of effect large scale ceiling decor can have on a big room with high ceilings! This event was on the Turf Field at Seven Bridges Ice Arena. Large rainbow “fireworks” and 3′ balloons were suspended from the ceiling to make use of the massive overhead space. The mix of rainbow colors really makes the room feel more lively and fun.
Veterans Day at Navy Pier
CareerBuilder, Fifth Third Bank & Navy Pier hosted their 3rd Annual Veterans Day Hiring & Resource Fair on Veterans Day. A flag inspired balloon arch welcomed veterans and their families into Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens on November 11, 2016. Two balloon walls made to resemble the American flag became the backdrop for two stages in the middle of the gardens. Numerous flag inspired balloon columns topped with red white and blue “fireworks” were also spread throughout the space adding a patriotic touch to the event.

Bring on Baby!
This was a beautiful event we were happy to decorate. Balloons in shades of pink, yellow, and gold filled the DL Loft in Chicago for a baby shower and photo shoot. Organic style balloon decor is a new and popular trend that mixes different sized balloons in no specific order. Several small curves were made to frame the large mirrors, single balloons filled the space in front of a large window, and groups of varying balloon sizes and colors were clustered behind armchairs.
See more photos from this event here! Debi Lilly took a great video of all the baby shower decor and posted it to her Instagram. Such a gorgeous event!
